Daily Monotony — It’s been a while
Monday 19 April 2010 - Filed under Daily Monotony
Well, It’s been a while since I posted anything on this site that hasn’t been my column from The Flying Shingle. And I chalk that up to four things. First off, on average my site garners about one hit per day, though maybe if I posted more more people would come — meh. Secondly, I don’t really think anyone cares to hear about my day to day life — I live my life, I know it’s not that exciting. I spend 12 hours a day in an office working, and then I usually go home and write. On the weekends I do laundry. Third, I seem to no longer care to write about my ex-girlfriend. Which makes sense, I’m over here (though I have recently decided it’d be funny to come up with really trivial reason for why she broke up with me — like my inability to use chop sticks). And lastly, I’ve been writing a lot — just nothing I can post on the site.
I spent a few weeks at the beginning of the year doing a polish on the Pilot script for my sitcom The Best I Got. After which Jamesy and I started working on the second draft of our one act play The Night We Fucked The Apocalypse. I’ve recently finished the second draft of my feature film Hopeless, Romantic and am currently working on a polish of that. And I’ve started writing a new pilot script for a separate sitcom idea. And of course I am constantly rushing to meet my deadline for A Modest Opinion…
So perhaps I’ll work on being inspired to throw some stuff up here that isn’t just my column. I’ll throw up a shitty poem every now and then. Write a little stream of consciousness. Start fucking with people on craigslist again. Or whatever. Just to please you, the fans.
